Author Bio: Jeff Bahr

Proud New Joisey- ite Jeff Bahr was a bit late getting to the writing party, but he's been making up for lost time ever since. Voted "Most Likely to Perish" during his mischievous adolescence, Jeff would go on to prove his detractors right and wrong. While he unquestionably harbored a proclivity toward risk taking and general unruliness, the wily one also knew something that his buttoned-down, contrarian "friends" didn't: The oft-practiced, if never mastered art of piloting fast motorcycles, walking railroad tracks at night, and entering condemned buildings was not only dangerously and decadently delightful (the three D's!) it would someday prove profitable. Hip, hip!

Growing increasingly bored with the workaday world, Jeff eventually escaped (does one less lab-tech really matter in the grand scheme of things?) and made his bid. Since writing

and motorcycling were the only activities that ever held his attention (save for errant ogling, raucous idiocy
and light-loitering) he combined the two and hoped for the best. A #$%^ load of published articles later, this
"hired-pen" has yet to grow bored.

In preparing written pieces for the decidedly wacky column "Mysterious America," ( Backroads) Jeff had
indeed traveled full-circle. Here, he was actively encouraged to seek out the very same legally questionable
sites that had captivated him during his youth, and this time he'd have a genuine alibi for the pesky
constables when they arrived! Through this column, as well, he would happily re-acquaint with Weird U.S
co-founder Mark Sceurman (they attended the same school during their cocoon stage) when the master went
in search of offbeat material for his upcoming Weird U.S. book series. "It's all good," as they say on the streets.
Indeed.

These days the more refined but no less determined man still carries a fire deep within his belly, not to mention
an enlarged prostate gland, but this should NOT be about that. "I live to write copy for anybody/anything who
will have me!" boisterously bellows Jeff. Since many of his endeavors are of the weirder variety, we suspect the
anything part may eventually come to pass. Any takers - human or otherwise?
